Endress+Hauser Adds To Micropilot M Range
Endress+Hauser's Micropilot FMR250 - specially designed for use in demanding applications

Endress+Hauser has announced the launch of the non-contact Micropilot M FMR 250 that has been specifically designed for use in demanding applications. The range of radar level gauges now includes a device capable of measuring powdery to granular bulk solids at up to 70m range.

The addition to the range is a result of customer feedback and demand and offers easy installation and set-up, added security and versatility.

Conditions such as dust, filling noise, temperature layers and gas stratification will not prevent it from delivering the highest measurement integrity. The FMR 250 is ideal for deployment in high silos containing dusty solids such as cement, animal feed or even highly abrasive bulks such as ferrite.

The key to the success of the Micropilot lies in its integrated echo platform which allows step-by-step commissioning, easy analysis and system optimisation. It also has the ability to document the specific measuring point as part of quality procedures.

The Micropilot FMR250 is available in two versions - with a horn antenna for level measurement in narrower applications and a parabolic antenna with 4 degree beam angle focusing for longer ranges. It also features an integrated air purge as standard making it ideal for applications which generate dust build-up, and a top target positioner which can be adapted to angled surfaces, minimising interference reflections.
