Social Responsibility

Endress+Hauser is involved in a number of community development programmes that focus on the upliftment and support of various groups. This involvement is ongoing and takes the form of donations, bursaries, training, and personal participation from various Endress+Hauser staff members.

Cotlands

This well-known sanctuary for abandoned and orphaned children, often living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, receives an annual donation of funds from Endress+Hauser.

MC Weiler School

The MC Weiler Primary School in Alexandra has been a beneficiary for the past few years. Contributions are made annually and have included the donation of computers, printers and software, computer literacy training for teachers and a complete refurbishment of the library.

BBEEE Trust

This trust was established in 2006 for the benefit all of Endress+Hauser's South Africa's staff, as well as the community at large.  The Ubuntu Trust owns 33.3% of Endress+Hauser's South African operation and consists of three trusts.  The Sisonke Trust is made up of previously disadvantaged employees, the Regenbogen Trust benefits white employees, and the CIDA Empowerment Trust focuses on empowering the students of CIDA City Campus through bursaries.

With this equity agreement in place, a solid platform has been established from which sustained empowerment initiatives in terms of management, skills development, procurement, employment equity and social responsibility can be launched.

Tshwane College

The Pretoria West Campus of the Tshwane South College hosts the Dr. Georg Endress Instrumentation Training Facility. The training facility was established by Endress+Hauser to address the skills shortage in the instrumentation and control industry. Equipped with the latest in field instrumentation, the facility offers both practical and theoretical training. Top performing students are also awarded bursaries and assisted with internship placements after graduation.

Thekwini College - KwaZulu-Natal

The second Dr. Georg Endress Instrumentation Training Facility is situated on the Cato Manor Campus of the Thekwini FET College, in the heart of the community. Like its Pretoria counterpart, the training facility offers both practical and theoretical training and seeks to make students proficient in all instrumentation.
